one of my favorites, emily loizeau. l’autre bout du monde - the other end of the world. seems appropriate on this new year’s eve. see you at l’autre bout du monde, mes chères.
happy and safe new year!

so new years eve is upon us. you have your venue… your dress…(gorgeous vintage, of course!)
but what about your hair???
it has to be perfect, and of course, it has to compliment your total look.
have no fear, help is here (OMGosh - did i just sound like underdog??? just ignore that. i haven’t been feeling too well, so please try to forgive such lapses.)
above are three rows of gorgeous vintage ‘dos. the top row is vintage 20s. middle row, vintage 40s. and last (but oh-so-not least) vintage 60s. somewhere here is your ideal new years eve look.
bonnes fêtes!

vintage looks that will keep you warm, that’s what you need.
that’s what we all need, isn’t it? something beautiful and oh-so-sexy that will heat things up inside and out. ooh la la. winter may not be so bad, after all. long nights can be fun…
so put another log on the fire, curl up with a cup of hot spiced wine, and pick out something dreamy from the vintage finds above. mmmm.
but what about when you’re going out on the town and you need to keep your shoulders warm without wrapping a bulky coat over that awesome vintage gown you have on? here’s your solution: a vintage 50s capelet. this one is in a golden yellow, but the seller has a few other colors, so check them out.
speaking of fabulous, if you love leather, and if you love that truly rare piece, do not pass by this vintage 70s red patchwork jacket. you will stop traffic in this.
looking for a beautiful mod coat to go over your chic-as-can-be mini dress? look no further. this gorgeous vintage 60s mod clutch coat in a tri-color looped boucle is what you need. click to go to the listing to see a close-up of this fabulous fabric.
and to end with a BANG, check out this incredible vintage 60s geoffrey beene optical print coat. wow. this is another one where you simply have to go to the listing to see the details. très chic.
happy shopping!

effort-intensive effortlessness? carefully created carelessness? or just accidental style? who cares? these looks work. and that should be enough.
so guys, be inspired. and girls, maybe you could print your fave and casually leave it where your guy will find it. like in the fridge, on top of the beer.
ciao,
julie
