Hollywood actor GEORGE CLOONEY is heading to the wild west - he’s reportedly set to star as THE LONE RANGER.
The Oscar winner will join Johnny Depp in the big screen adaptation of the long-running 1950s TV show, according to British tabloid reports.
A source tells The Sun newspaper, “George is very keen - he’s been trying to do a movie with Johnny for a long time.
“He thinks they’ll make the perfect on-screen partnership.”
Depp’s involvement, as sidekick Tonto, was recently confirmed by Disney Studios bosses.
The screenplay will be penned by Pirates of the Caribbean writers Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio. (MT/WNTSU/LJ)
