vintage finds - spring fling! March 19, 2009

spring - that time of year when you can finally forget about a coat when you run out the door, when you can open the windows and let oxygen in, when you notice the grass turning green again but you don’t have to worry about cutting it yet!

so this week’s “vintage finds” are an ode to spring. maybe spring won’t turn your thoughts toward love, but i know it will turn them toward vintage fashion. of course, it doesn’t take the coming of spring to do that, now does it?

happy st patrick’s day! March 17, 2009

i know i’m late with “vintage finds” this week, and i need to do a hair post ASAP, but i’ve had company that just left for home, just as i was packing up my son to go away for the rest of the week with friends. but i’ll catch up! in the meantime, in honor of the irish in all of us, here’s U2, playing a brand new song on the letterman show.

my opinion? the best U2 since Achtung Baby

check out the new smosh game - smosh fighters! March 12, 2009

if you love geeks, you love smosh.

and if you don’t know smosh you can learn all about them at smosh.com. in a nutshell, they are two guys who made their reputations by posting extremely ludicrous skits on youtube that many people (especially teenagers) find hilarious. in my humble opinion, they make SNL seem old-fashioned and dated.

in other words, i think they’re great.
