it’s no secret i love cover songs.
to me, it often turns out that the more the cover version differs from the original, the better. you may have heard jose gonzalez’s great version of Heartbeats, originally by The Knife. have you heard the original? i was prepared to prefer the cover, since it is so beautiful in it’s simple elegance, but i find the original just as captivating, especially when you add the mind-bending video into the equation.

i know you’ve seen her audition for Britain’s Got Talent, but wait until you hear this.
songs from musical theater are not usually my thing, although Susan could probably sing the Mama Mia soundtrack and make it sound heartbreakingly beautiful. but THIS - this is more my style. whether it’s your style or not, well, i’m sure you will still find it heartbreakingly beautiful.
